Neyeeva had been sitting with her legs draw up and her back leaning against the cool damp of the wall, her head resting against the earth and stone barrier of the barrow that she leaned against. The coolness of the dens, the silent dark, the soothing sounds of the underground springs all created a wonderfully peaceful atomosphere. However, try as she might, Neyeeva could not bring herself to close her eyes for sleep and or any type of suitable rest state. Too many things swam about her head, invading her thoughts, too much worry and concern filled her heart, making it heavy with fear and uncertain doubt. Finally giving up on the idea of rest, she decided to do something to help ease her mind of the troubling thoughts. She pulled her pack closer to her, beginning to dig into it.
A pen and paper she pulled out. He should kow of all of this. Telling him of my troubles has always managed to comfort my heart and mind, quailing the troubles of my soul. He should get some word of me. Neyeeva began to scribble and write upon the parchment. A thought then suddenly entered her mind. She looked up, turning to face Eli. She should be able to provide some answer to the question that overtook her.
"Do you believe that Peris would deliver a letter if I asked it of her?" she asked, hopeful of a positive answer.
Eli, leaning back against the wall, standing as always answered, "I dont see why not... she's been playing errand girl this whole time it seems." She sighed and shook her head.
Neyeeva continued to write on the paper. "The only reason I ask is that in asking her to do so would be putting her in the middle of an ongoing disagreement between Faythe and myself. Though at this point I see no other way around it."
Eli shrugged in response. "Why would that have any bearing on it? She doesnt have ties to the guild anyways does she?"
"At this point she does. She is being a go between for us, keeping Faythe informed. Still, I hate to be asking it of her however Danaric has a right to know what is going on." Neyeeva explained still writing.
"I still dont see what the issue could be, besides what harm could a letter do?"
Neyeeva leaned her back against the wall as she put her pen down, folding the paper to conceal its privacy. She smiled a little at Eli's comment. "Faythe has made it a decree that Danaric is to have nothing to do with the Arbiters. However... "
"However he has plenty to do with you?"
Neyeeva nodded with a proud, fond smile. "He and I will not keep ourselves from each other." Neyeeva paused, sighing. "Faythe and Danaric have a strong disaggreement, and Danaric a bad temper." She explained to the warrior.
"Who you talk to is not Fay's concern but your own. So long as you keep him out of "arbiter" business I see nothing wrong in it." Eli advised.
Neyeeva smirked. That was seemingly a simple answer. However the warrior did not understand the circumstances of her own hear. "Yes, but I cannot keep myself out of Arbiter troubles. I often turn to him for aide in certain matters, if he can be of some help." She tried to explain, without revealing the whole, deeply personal truth of it; of why she could not keep herself out of arbiter's buisness. "Faythe does not understand the trust I have in him, which is understandable since he did attack her once."
"Then you may do better to keep them seperate, unless you want another fight on your hands. I'm sure they both have stubborn personalities and wont apologize for past events." Eli laughed.
Neyeeva looked out into the darkness with the thought. "No, neither would. There differences of each other are both right and wrong." She scoffed lightly to herself. "Danaric was in the right all along and she never believed him. She was blinded by those she trusted."
"Such is life, keep your friends close and your enemies closer..."
Neyeeva spoke, lost in thought and drawing her left hand to her as she absently minded rubbed at the stubby middle finger. "I am certain blames her for everything that happened." She looked up at the comment.
"Misunderstandings..." Eli shrugged, "the more prideful one is the more common they are."
"Yes. Pride. That is what it has always been about." Neyeeva paused, sighing. "Ah, well, perhaps in the end it will be for the best. I can only help to guide her in the right direction and keep my trust in him." She laughed to herself. "Though should they run into each other it will not be a pretty scene." She frowned at the thought of the circumstance.
"Do what you must. I'm sure they'll do the same... just dont do anything you'd regret."
Neyeeva narrowed her eyes as the comment reached her ears. She had done that just that, once not so long ago. It nearly distroyed everything. "I made that mistake once. I assure you it will never happen again."
Eli nodded. "She may be back soon, and it seems the letter is keeping your mind busy..."
Neyeeva nodded in return. "Indeed it is a relief to think of something else if only for a moment." She leaned her head back against the wall as she closes her eyes, finally able to allow herself to enter a half rest state.
