I open myself, and I expand into the infinite…
Warm grass tickled soft, exposed skin. Cenias rolled over, one hand was underneath his face while he rested on his side, curled in the meadow. Moments passed while a full, pale moon hung in the sky, devouring itself into but a sliver. The form’s eyes were halfway open, I awake now from life, and dream into my own reality. Rolling onto its stomach, changing, the figure placed hooves beneath itself, slender but powerful legs pushing against the soft earth, hardly making an imprint as the stag rose to full height.
The beast walked with pride, dominance. It was at home, and this was his territory. No predators would dare to enter, and no other males would challenge him. Pausing he looked at the slivered moon, watched the dangling thinness that reflected light. The beast shook it’s head, walking out of the meadow and into the surrounding forest. The Night was young and the air cool. I thirst. Changing, kneeling by a small river, Cenias reached down, placing his hands on the bank and tucking his two purple legs beneath him while he lowered his face into the waters surface, drinking at his leisure.
He lifted his head, pausing to breath. Water ran down his face sinking into the skin like soil while a green, moss-like beard grew from his chin. Ailac, Xaneria? Yes, they were devoured by the corruption, where they not? Yes, yes that is why I wake now from reality, into this living sleep. How long has it been since I have left… Seasons? Years I could count on one hand… So short a time. The Keldorei lowered his face to the water once more, and the water began to consume him. He slid into it, freely, without resistance, form no longer had meaning. Hands became fins, skin became scales, water became a graceful pathway that he glided through like wind in the sky.
I will travel beneath the mountain, and open my sense to all.
