Eveela's Nightmare 003

Eveela opened her eyes in a grassy field. No recogizition hit her. Eveela yawned and sat up. The grass around her seemed odd... almost too perfect... Eveela felt dizzy at the thought and shook her head, banishing the thought. Suddenly blackness crashed over her and she thought for a moment. Neyeeva wasn't with her, but no doubt trying to find her. Eveela muttered under her breath for a moment before thinking of Neyeeva. Instantly she was outside the Pig and Whistle in Stormwind, Neyeeva beside her. Eveela blinked and dashed inside, and ran into the basement only to run through Gavon and hit the wall and stumble backwards. Gavon was standing next to herself, staring at Quixotee and Vaelor, with Neyeeva being towered over by Mathricen and Keabsy.
They were chattering, but Eveela didn't listen, only watch herself morph into a cat and slink along the wall, and dive behind the kegs. Eveela followed, careful not to slam into anything else, and came up behind Neyeeva. It was then Eveela realized Neyeeva was behind her. Eveela's past self whispered something in Darnassian to the cat, but Eveela couldn't make out the words, though it was obvious Neyeeva could since she flicked her ears.
Eveela edged passed herself and sat on the box, watching the events unfold, including her sneaking heals to Neyeeva and "joining" Mathricen's side once Quixotee and Vaelor left. She remembered what she had whispered to Gavon perfectly, but didn't say anything.
She watched as she attacked Feldria and her heart sank. She regretted that and attacking Gavon. She watched what she did to Neyeeva, and narrowed her eyes. Eventually it came to Gavon taking Neyeeva away, with Eveela behind him, followed by an Arbiter Paladin, which Eveela eventually remembered attacking.
The world twirled around Neyeeva and Eveela and then they were in Ironforge, with Neyeeva. Eveela watched the events unfold, ending with Eveela and Neyeeva teleporting away, then Eveela was in Elwynn.
Well gee, memories. Give me time to think to myself! Eveela growled in her mind. She saw herself standing outside Xaneria's house, Gavon by her side. The vision ended in Gavon and Eveela's fight. Eveela regretted it, for it came back to hurt Elizaebel in the end.... and Xaneria.
Eveela's heart nearly stopped as they were suddenly sitting in Grizzly Hills.
Eveela's past self swooped down on her Netherdrake. (Read Xaneria's journal for this one .w.)
Eveela fought with Xaneria, the last time Eveela would ever talk to Xaneria truely... Eveela sighed deeply and then Eveela was in Moonglade. For a moment she thought she had woken up before she realized she was sitting beside herself. Alora fluttered by her side.
Eveela's past self turned to where Neyeeva was sitting, the real Neyeeva, and muttered something, then vanished.
Eveela blinked, remembering how she had teleported away. Eveela blinked and turned to Neyeeva,"Hmm... my mind seems to be-" Eveela was cut off when they were suddenly in a bar in Ironforge. Eveela was sick of all this teleporting around, so she focused off this thought to just Moonglade, no memories.
Eveela took a deep breath,"For some reason we seem to be teleporting randomly to whatever I slightly regret. If that's so we'll be thrown around alot." Eveela muttered, but didn't let her thoughts stray. "Think of Moonglade, clear your mind, I don't feel like being shot around the world again." Eveela grumbled.

  1. After Eveela and Neyeeva were catapulted through the memories, whe they had halted in Moonglade, Neyeeva's thoughts were racing with the one, the first memory. She tried her hardest not to think of it, but as always, the memories invaded her not caring what she wanted taking her mind back to that tavern in Old Town of Storwind.

Neyeeva shut her eyes tight, cringed her facial features, making them taught, she brought her hands to her ears, attempting to shut out the memories. Yet it was all of no help.

When Neyeeva opened her eyes, she was back in the Pig and Whistle, at the table where it had all started. Eveela was no where, but Mathricen was sitting to the far edge of the long table opposite her past self. She watched in a sickening dread as the events unfolded before her. Mathricen and Keasby brutally detained her in her catform, her tail was severed by Keasby. She was brought to the basement, chained, beaten and kicked some more by Keasby. Then, when she was left alone with Mathricen, he assaulted her as she was bound, unable to fight back. Neyeeva could not look away as she witnessed his beating her with his mace, the pole arm, even his own plated boot. Neyeeva could stand no more of it, she forgot for an instant she was only watching a shadow, she moved to stop his assaults.

Neyeeva, with a enraged fury, grabbed at Mathricen's wrist, the one that was holding the blade of his polearm, with which he was about to cut off the past Neyeeva's broken finger. Instead of her hand closing in on itself, it closed around the wrist. The shade had a form, it looked up at her, grinning maliciously. Neyeeva let go, and backed away, fear overcoming her.

The shade, the thing, rose up to its feet from where it had been kneeling, still grinning. The polearm in its hand transformed to the large mace that had shattered her ribs. The thing lifted the weapon over its shoulder in much the same way as Mathricen had. It started laugh, an evil cackling sound that rang horribly through Neyeeva's ears. The thing began to change, still holding the form of the Death Knight Mathricen, but becoming darker, a sickly greenish black hue. The undead aura that was constantly about Mathricen in the later part of his existance, twisted and turned to a sickly green, eminating strongly from the shade. Neyeeva's eyes widened with horror as she looked at it, knowing it for what it truely was but could not see past the Mathricen guise. In her heart she knew it to be of the Nightmare, yet she could only recognize it as the Death Knight that had tortured and maimed her. With the thought that he was back once more foremost within her mind, Neyeeva could not get past her fear, she was frozen with it, as the shade came closer to her laughing, raising the mace to strick her.

  2. Neyeeva saw the danger before her, the move to attack. Instantly her warrior instincts took over, forcing her to react. Neyeeva jumped to the side, dodging the swinging mace. She ducked and rolled across the basement floor. Then suddenly the surroundings dissappeared, leaving nothing but blackness and the Nightmare Mathricen.

Neyeeva gritted her teeth as she came out of the roll, kneeling. She looked to the shade in anger, narrowning her eyes at it. "No, not this time." She said to herself, to it. "/You/ will not harm me again! EVER!" She called out to it in, Mathricen, in a vengeful voice.

Neyeeva let her powers take control as she should have done in the past. Neyeeva hit the shade with a her moonfire spell. She then called forth the insect images of the dream to block and misguide the shade's attacks. As the insects swarmed arround the shade, distracting it, Neyeeva cast a cyclone spell, to halt it from casting any lich spells that she knew lay within the Death Knight. She called out to the treants, shades within the dream, they immediately attacked the Mathricen image. Neyeeva was in the midst of casting a wrath spell when she saw that the thing was comming to close to her. She immediately halted her actions, then let forth her powerful typhoon spell upon it, pushing it far back from her, the treants followed suit of the flailing shade. Neyeeva quickly casted her wrath attack at the image, then her more powerful starfire spell. When the spell hit, the Mathricen image called out in defeat. The spell ripped the shade in two. The two halves steamed and dissipated into nothingness as it screamed out.

Neyeeva took in deep laboring breaths of anger and hatred through gritted teeth as it dissappeared. Neyeeva was suddenly snapped back to her full self. She blinked, looking around the blackness in confusion. "I did it!" she thought in shock. "I overcame him." Neyeeva laughed outloud. Drunk and giddy with the upmost releif. She fell to her knees laughing, hugging herself as tears sprang to her eyes. Now, finally, she had her closure of it. She knew now, after this, she would never think of it so heavily again. She could move on now, never again to think of Mathricen as the overbearing brute that she came to think of him as.

Neyeeva calmed herself after becomming light headed with laughter. She took several deep, slow calming breaths. Finally she setteled her thoughts on Eveela. Neyeeva was instantly brought back to the young druid's side, in Moonglade.

She looked at Eveela, thinking back to what she had last said. "Eveela, take us to your last regret. Now that I know you regret, I want to see what it /is/ that you are remorseful of. Take us there."

  3. "No.." Never... never... Eveela's face darkened at the thought.

But the thought was what caused the dream to change.

Lell was crouched in front of Eveela, the young warrior grimacing. Eveela grinned maliciously. Lell was bloody, and injured.

Berlin burst out of the shadows, took one look at Lell and gasped.

Berlin lunged foward, grabbing the hand Eveela had a blade in. They were in Deadwind pass, on a bridge. Eveela twisted and Berlin lost his grip, but Lell sprang to her feet and lunged foward. Eveela dodged and she slammed into Berlin, sending him close to the edge.

This snapped Eveela out of her bloodthirsty thoughts. Eveela lunged foward and tried to grab his arm, only to have it slip out of reach.

"NO!" Both Eveela's shouted. Eveela sprung foward, but Lell grabbed her and dragged back, blade raised toward Eveela.

Eveela glanced at Berlin as he fell and hit a pointed rock at the bottom of the gorge, impaling him.

"No..." Eveela muttered and fell to her knees, feeling numb all over watching her brother's painful death again.

Eveela's past self grabbed Lell's blade and reversed it into her own heart, killing the warrior in a single blow, quick. Lell fell backward and fell off the bridge, her eyes glazed over.

Eveela's past self was down in the gorge in a second, along with Eveela's normal self. Eveela completely forgot about Neyeeva as she watched herself fight the currents toward the rock.

Eveela walked through it like it was air. She watch herself pull Berlin off the rock and try to heal him, but he was already dead. Eveela vowed something under her breath, but didn't hear it over the blood roaring in her ears. Eveela felt dizzy, looking at his pale face, the blood pulsing from his wound... one more time.. Eveela felt dizzy and fell backward, into the current.

/Good, let it take me... let it drown me so I can get out of this nightmare.../ Eveela thought, tears streaming down her face. She had watched it all.. Berlin... Knici... Lell... Mother... Father.... all of them, die right before her eyes all over again. Eveela got to her feet to see herself looking straight at her.

Eveela's heart nearly stopped. Her own nails were long and unkempt, her face pale as snow, her eyes blood-red and blood dripping from her mouth.

    "You..." The creature spat.

    "What are you?" Eveela demanded.

"I am you. I am what is inside you. Your emotions, I am them. I'm your alter ego, if you must put it like that." The creature grinned maliciously.

"You aren't me... you can't be." But the creature dashed foward, and grinned at Eveela. "No.. you are." Eveela fell to her knees. "You're me. You're what I've become...." Eveela felt herself being overcome by the Nightmare

NO! Don't give in! Eveela shouted to herself, but she was put in a daze by it, locking her gaze with it, unable to move as it crept foward... Don't give in! Kill it! KILL IT! Eveela tried to will her body, but it wouldn't move. Neyeeva was a ways off, frozen in place.

Then Eveela felt a surge of energy and lunged foward, grabbing the creature and knocking it to the ground. She took the blade it had, the same one Eveela had used to slay her father, and stabbed its chest.

No. It cant be that easy. Eveela thought. Then the creature moved and grabbed Eveela's neck, and began to crush it. Eveela gasped, trying to grab air.

Eveela flailed the sword, trying to kill the creature, but she couldn't. She began to black out. /No!/ Eveela willed herself to stab the creature, herself, in the throat. She stabbed over and over, and felt the grip loosen. The THING stumbled backward, grabbing its throat. Eveela hissed and then blacked out, seeing it fall to the ground before fainting.

  4. Neyeeva watched it all. She had no other choice. She was Eveela's guide, she had to witness it to be able to help her. Then the nightmare Eveela was there in all its horror. She watched as Eveela faced off with it. Neyeeva wanted to intervene, but she would not allow herself. Eveela had to face it on her own, overcome it, just as she had done with her own nightmare.

Neyeeva observed as Eveela fought her nightmare self. That thing was what had become of her over the years, the embodiment of all her anger, her mistrust, her vial maliciousness. Neyeeva's stomach churned in disgust at the sight of it, no druid should possess such a strong malevolence.

Eveela finally overcame it with her strong survival instincts. She had faced herself, her wrongness, and won. Now the question was, would she realize why she had to face it? Would she know how to release it? She may have bested it, but can she release herself of it completely? This was the part why Neyeeva was here. Now it was her time to guide Eveela to her new destiny, should she take it.

When Eveela passed out, the images of the Deadwind Pass around them vanished, leaving only the blackness. Neyeeva walked slowly to Eveela limp form. She knelt down to the unconcious druid. Neyeeva took hold of Eveela, taking the girl in her arms. Neyeeva looked upon on the peaceful sleeping face with pity.

Eveela had been through so many terrible horrible things in her life. It was understandable that she became as she did. Neyeeva found herself thankful for Xaneria insisting upon her redemption.

"Eveela, awake." Neyeeva spoke firmly and softly to the unconscious girl. "Awake, Eveela, awake."

  5. Eveela opened her eyes, feeling weak all over. She felt as if she had been smashed by a mountain twenty times. She looked up at Neyeeva and muttered in a quiet voice,"Neyeeva..." she trailed off, feeling the weakness overcome her again.

  6. Neyeeva stregthened her grip upon Eveela, attempting to keep her from falling unconscious once more, lending her some strength to keep the girl revived. Neyeeva rose to her feet, helping the other druid to her own.

"Eveela," Neyeeva began as she cautiously released the girl from her grip, "You have defeated that which has held you back all these years. The embodiment of your doubts, fears, anger, resentment, mistrust, among others. Now you must release yourself of it all. Learn to let go of your anger and mistrust."

Neyeeva gazed inot Eveela's eyes, searching them, to see for herself if there was any change in them.

"You have witnessed once more all the events that brought to be what you have become. You have confessed that you regret your wrongs. Now you must find it within yourself to forgive so that you do not hate yourself for the rest of your days. You must atone for your wrongs so you can be forgiven."

Neyeeva searched Eveela's eyes once more as she waited for the young druid's response.

  7. Eveela thought of Neyeeva's words... But how could she forgive herself for what she had done? "It must be done" she muttered under her breath.
/Forgive myself..../ Eveela thought... she zoned out for a moment, but she had to learn to 'forgive herself'.

"What's done is done" Eveela recalled the words she had said many times.
"If I drag myself down for all the things I've done, I won't get anywhere." Eveela muttered quietly and sighed deeply.

She turned to Neyeeva,"I forgive myself, what's done is done..."

  8. Neyeeva cocked her head at the young druid. It seemed too easy. Yet it was Eveela, she did not show her feelings to anyone.

"Can you truely say that and believe it Eveela? You must be absolutely certain." Neyeeva said sencerely. "Yes, what is done is done and we cannot change the past. However we must not forget it as well. It must be remembered so our mistakes are not forgotten and repeated." Neyeeva placed a hand on Eveela's shoulder. "Do you understand what I am saying? You must also find within yourself how you are to atone for the deaths of your parents, which was your doing. That answer can only be found within yourself."

  9. Eveela's mind whirled,"I know how. SHE should be taking care of it." Her mind drifted slightly. "I am done here, in the dream..." Eveela muttered.

  10. Neyeeva took in a breath, sighing slightly.

"You seem not to have changed much. However you did overcome the worst part of you. I do sense something different but it is not strong. It will grow in time I think, once you have made your atonement."

Neyeeva looked arround at the empty blackness about them. There came a blanket of mist swirling about them, filling the the vast emptiness.

"It is time we returned then." Neyeeva expressed a comforting, trusting smile to the yound druid as she put her other hand to the druid's opposite shoulder. "Come, let us go back."
The world before them grew darker as the mist became thicker, blocking out all view.
